Listen
Make it easy and safe to share a story, concern, idea, or question.
Allaina Listens
Tell Allaina what is happening in your neighborhood, get help finding local resources, and see how she follows through.
The operating promise
Allaina Listens is not only a slogan. It is a method residents can test before Election Day.
Make it easy and safe to share a story, concern, idea, or question.
Help people find useful services, neighbors, organizations, and opportunities now.
Turn patterns into projects, advocacy, partnerships, and clear policy priorities.
Show what was heard, what happened, what remains open, and who owns the next step.
The Listening Room
I have ideas, but this campaign does not begin with my answers. It begins with your life. Tell me what is working, what is not, and what would make daily life better for you and your family.
Prefer not to type? You can request a phone call, meet Allaina at a listening hour, or ask for language or disability access.
Two open doors
Choose the kind of support that fits today. Neither door requires campaign support or a donation.
Find food, housing, utility, transportation, legal, mental health, disability, LGBTQ+, immigration, senior, youth, and safety resources. If the list feels overwhelming, ask a human to help you start.
Give time, skills, language, local knowledge, a connection, or a flexible hour from home. You can help a neighbor without giving money or having political experience.
Up to three votes
Bolingbrook trustees are elected at-large, and three seats are on the ballot in the regular cycle. A voter may choose up to three candidates, but does not have to use every available vote.

Voting dates and ballot details can change. The voting guide links directly to official election sources and will be reviewed again against the certified ballot.
What Allaina is hearing
Listening is not collecting comments and moving on. Anonymous themes will appear only after there is enough real input to protect privacy and report accurately.
The site will not manufacture submission counts or testimonials. The first report will be based on real, privacy-safe input.
What we are doing
Each update will show what was heard, what action was taken, who owns the next step, its status, evidence, and the next update.
A referral will never be labeled as a resolution, and unfinished work will not disappear from view.
Why Allaina
For more than a decade, I have built coalitions, created inclusive community events, helped change local policy, trained organizations to open more doors, and connected people who could solve problems together.
I founded Bolingbrook Pride, serve as Vice Chair of the Bolingbrook Arts Council, helped create the Celebration of Special Recreation, and have spent years advancing visitability and disability access. I know how to listen across differences, turn values into logistics, and keep showing up after the photo is taken.

Listening hours, service days, neighborhood pop-ups, and skill shares will be listed only when the details and access information are ready.
Each listing will include parking and transit, a step-free route, restroom and seating notes, sensory conditions, language and communication access, childcare, food, cost, and what to bring.
Ideas for Bolingbrook
These are working standards, not a finished agenda handed down before listening.
Decisions about roads, sidewalks, drainage, traffic safety, parks, and code concerns should be based on transparent need, not proximity to power.
Bolingbrook should work for families, older adults, young people, disabled residents, renters, homeowners, and the people whose work keeps the village running.
Protect Bolingbrook's visitability legacy and carry that accessibility into infrastructure, communication, events, transportation, public spaces, and digital services.
Residents should be able to understand major votes, budgets, timelines, department responsibilities, and the reasons behind difficult choices.
Make it easier to navigate nonprofits, schools, businesses, faith communities, service clubs, and public agencies without being bounced from door to door.
Safety includes emergency response, traffic design, violence prevention, mental health, safe housing, youth support, accessibility, and public trust.
The operating promise
You should not have to know the right person, attend the right fundraiser, or wait until after Election Day to be heard.
